![]() As i said earlier, i applied reshade and used smaa, and that seems to help a bit. It seems like it was downgraded each update they release. The issue i mostly have is the horrible antialiasing the game has at distances. So, as they say, the beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder I guess. Dead Matter Dead Matter gameplay If you want a gameplay that has all the blood-splattering, gory elements of a zombie shooter with the elements of survival but you don’t want to spend three hours building a shelter, then this game is the game for you. Most new generations however are more used to top-notch AAA graphics and won't accept anything less from a game. I don't know how old are you, but for me the graphics looks pretty even on average settings. Look, my unswer was purposefully trolling, but that's just because when you say "less crappy" you basically are saying that the graphics looks like crap, and you just want it look less awful than now. anything other than whats maybe 100 to 150 yards in front of me just looks overly sharp and crap. as well as a 5800x and 32 gb of ram on a nvme drive. There IS a mod for A20's TAA antialiasing that gets rid of the flicker and softens the image.that might be worth looking into (I saw a couple threads about it in here, but can't remember what they were called). I've seen some visual/graphic mods that added some nice things, but I don't know if any have been updated for A20 yet. The game has/had it, but the option doesn't work in A20 (did in A19).but ReShade might have an acceptable workaround for you there as well as the AA you found. ![]() It also sound (by your distant objects are overly sharp) comment, that you miss having DepthOfField that slightly blurs distant vision. ![]() You can actually use this to turn it all the way up to 30-40 instead of 3 (which I think is maximum map distance) if you have a really strong system.but 3 or 4 is usually plenty far for realistic line-of-sight. Then enter, then either F1 or ESC to close the menu. You can also reduce the pop-in (increase distance rendering of many things) beyond the HIGHEST ObjectQuality setting, by pressing F1 and typing I'm assuming you already made sure to crank the ViewDistance from the MainMenu, because you can't adjust it paused in-game. The AA is definitely poor in some situations, mostly weak (too subtle?) at working in the distance (though it DOES clearly affect the distance to some degree, so it isn't simply NOT working there).
